An issue that has concerned me for a long time is the locked out bus drivers in Moncton. We sit and wait as figures are thrown at us daily, not too far off one another while revenue continues to go down. You're asking for $53 000!! There are people with University degrees that don't make that! YOU DRIVE A BUS. You make $44K a year which in my opinion is a very generous number. Oh, and you want $60K a year by 2017?
I'm not saying the City of Moncton is completley in the right either though. Get replacement drivers, Do something! There are so many people in Moncton that would kill to be making $44K a year. No need for a pay raise. I still can't get over what a disgusting figure $60K is. There are people who have masters and doctorate degrees who aren't making that. If these greedy workers end uo getting remotely close to that figure, Moncton is digging a deeper and deeper hole for themselves in debt and in labor. Soon enough the guy that shovels dog crap in Centennial park will be asking for $60K a year.
