Unemployment

Unemployment rates in New Brunswick are currently 11.6%. The highest that we have reached in almost 10 years. 2100 jobs were lost in the last month alone. What a system! We take a province with a 14 million dollar budget and what do we get out of it? Done already? Time for a little math boys and girls. With 2100 full time jobs at 40 hours a week gone, we lose 84 000 hours of employment. Even at minimum wage this would lose approximatley 1 million dollars out of the economy.
We can't employ those who live here, so why would they live here? Go out west and make at least 18% higher. That's a generous figure. Our revenue is down, so why don't we keep on cutting and driving more and more families out of the province. Cutting from education, economic development and everything else we need is surely the solution though right? Yes, David Alward. Everything is improving. What a leader we have.
